Ann Michelle Harris is a Maggie Award finalist, a double finalist in the Pages From the Heart contest, and a finalist for the Eleanor Taylor Bland Award from Sisters in Crime. Her crime stories are featured in the grifter crime anthology Hook, Line, and Sinker and the vacation crime anthology Gone Fishin: Crime Takes a Holiday, both from Sisters in Crime Guppy Chapter. Her fairytale retelling novel (with a murder mystery tucked inside) North debuted in January, 2025, and has been described as “distinctive and compelling” by Kirkus Reviews.

Born in Jamaica and raised in Atlanta, Ann Michelle Harris is a lawyer by day, writing romantic suspense and fantasy by night. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Atlanta Writers Club, and is on the executive board of Georgia Romance Writers. She teaches writing workshops and has been featured in various online publications including
Writer Unboxed, Canvas Rebel, Black Fiction Addiction, and others.
In addition to fiction, she writes sci-fi/fantasy reviews for the Hugo Award winning Nerds of a Feather and attended Glasgow WorldCon where Nerds of a Feather won their second Hugo Award for best online fan magazine. She has been a speaker at various conventions including WorldCon, Bouchercon, Armadillo Con, Moonlight & Magnolias, and the Atlanta Sci-Fi Expo.
