Crime Lab 101 with Tammy Jergovich
Sisters in Crime Atlanta's monthly chapter meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month, in-person and on Zoom. This month we are thrilled to have Tammy Jergovich from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Crime Lab.
"Crime Lab 101": Tammy Jergovich is one of the Assistant Directors of the GBI Crime Laboratory system for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. She has a master's degree in Public Administration and a bachelor's degree in Criminalistics (Forensic Science). She began her career as a Forensic Scientist with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 1987 and moved to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in 1994 where she continued her career and is currently in senior leadership for the division. Tammy will be giving an overview of the GBI Division of Forensic Science and what the crime laboratory's role is in the Georgia Criminal Justice system.
